DutiesServes as Chief, Branch of Policies and Program over a team of Human Resources (HR) professionals.Plans, directs and implements comprehensive Agency-wide Human Resources policy and programs including staffing, classification, performance management, compensation, leave, employee relations, and work/life.Provides complex consultation, guidance and support in applying and implementing HR policies and programs to Agency strategic plan objectives, goal, and mission requirements.Orients and promotes an understanding and appreciation of HR policies and programs with all employees. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume.Specialized experience is defined as: 1) leading, developing, managing, and administering HR policies in the Federal civilian service; and leading, developing, and managing various strategic human capital, retention and talent development programs (e.g., onboarding, mentorship, coaching, upward mobility, etc.) and 2) supervising and leading a team of HR professionals.Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): You must be well qualified for the position to receive special selection priority under the ICTAP. A qualified ICTAP eligible achieving a score of 90 or above will be considered well qualified.
