Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
- Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher (Java, South Dakota 57452)
- 9-month contract (175 days)
- Provides direct ECSE services in four schools, evaluation in five schools
- Caseload fluctuates
- Works in conjunction with Birth-Three coordinator to evaluate and provide services to children in that age range
- Case manages, evaluates and provides services to children ages 3-5 in their home school districts
- Coordinates developmental screenings in member school districts
- Supervises paraprofessionals working with children receiving ECSE
- Organizes and inventories storage room for ECSE materials
- Receives mileage from administrative offices to member schools for services
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Special Education Teacher (2 positions, K-5 and 6-12+) (Selby, South Dakota 57472)
- 9-month contract (175 days)
- Provides direct SPED services in one school
- Caseload is approximately 10-12 students
- Disabilities include: autism, cognitive impairment, specific learning disabilities, other health impaired, emotional disability, etc.
- Case manages, evaluates and provides services to school-age children
- Supervises paraprofessionals working with children receiving SPED
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary = $47,700
- Additional pay for credits earned
- $300 per year of experience up to 10 years
- $6000 signing bonus paid out over 3 years
- $500 moving expenses
- Paid single health and dental insurance plans

- 15 (1styear) /10 sick days per year
- 5 personal leave days per year
- 1-2 professional leave days per year
- 6% South Dakota retirement match
