Accounts Payable Manager

Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Manager

Location: Brentwood, Tennessee

Schedule: Hybrid

Contract length: 8 weeks

Our client is currently looking for a Temporary Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in the credit card processing industry for about 8 weeks. They need a detail-focused, organized and proactive professional who will take on the responsibility of ensuring the accurate and prompt posting of approximately 150 invoices on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely and accurate posting of accounts payable transactions to the accounting system including related system entries and data maintenance

- Strengthen accounts payable process by recommending improvements in policies and procedures

- Monitor daily accounts payable workflow and route invoices for approval

- Ensure the accurate coding, approval, and prompt payment of all invoices

- Maintain the vendor file system, obtaining proper documentation for new vendors, and issuing annual 1099s

- Assist with internal and external audits as needed

- Some reconciliation work as needed

- Ad hoc reporting or special projects as assigned by the management

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related role

- Experience in the credit card processing industry highly preferred

- Proficiency in Accounts Payable software, experience with Mineral Tree is a plus

- Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills

- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data

- Familiar with accounting and bookkeeping principles

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
