Accounts Payable Clerk

Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Barberton, Ohio area and will be a long-term temporary position. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Major responsibilities

- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

- Complete full-cycle A/P

- Carry out additional tasks as assigned

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Provide support during internal and external audits

- Provide support to internal business partners

- Strong familiarity with 3 Way Matching

- Expense reports experience preferred

- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Process Expense Reports experience

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
