CNC Machine Operator

This CNC Machine Operator Position Features:

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Set up and operate the CNC Laser.
• Review manufactured drawings.
• Perform material handling functions, including loading material for job runs.
• Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance and to ensure parts are processed
correctly.
• Ensure the laser machine and accessories equipment are running correctly.
• Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of
cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain shop, tools, and other equipment.
• Sort and finish cut parts (remove tabs/burrs, etc.).
• Accurately count, tag and route parts to the next operation.
• Record work order data into our manufacturing system.
• Perform routine laser maintenance.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Program electronic equipment.
The desired candidate will possess these qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or GED; and
• Requires 1-2 years of CNC Laser experience in sheet metal manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.
• Familiar with database software, record keeping software, and work order management
software.
• Ability to troubleshoot the causes of operating errors.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage ones own time.
• Must be able to make sound judgment and decisions considering the relevant costs and benefits
of potential actions.
• Must be able to critically think using logic and reason.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
