LHH partnered with a local company to recruit for a Dispatcher in Woodland, CA.

Position Title: Dispatcher
Location: Woodland, CA
Pay: $23 to $28 per hour

Responsibilities Breakdown:

• Data Entry and Microsoft Excel: 20%

• Mapping: 15%

• Answering CSR Questions: 15%

• Obtaining Quotes: 10%

• Dispatching: 40%

Typical Day: A typical day involves managing a fleet of trucks and coordinating routes for driver crew on routine routes during the week. Responsibilities include planning routes, scheduling trucks, managing paperwork, and communicating with vendors and drivers. Additionally, the dispatcher will analyze costs, prioritize orders, and ensure smooth operations.

• Coordinate daily truck routes and schedules for a fleet of drivers, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal efficiency.

• Utilize dispatching software to assign trucks to specific orders and prioritize tasks based on weight and delivery requirements.

• Communicate with drivers, vendors, and customers to address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Manage paperwork and documentation related to orders, including invoicing, shipping manifests, and delivery confirmations.

• Analyze costs and negotiate rates with trucking companies to optimize expenses and maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of dispatching experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, mapping, and customer service

• Ability to obtain quotes and manage dispatching software

• Trucking industry experience is preferred not required.

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Dispatch Track software preferred not required.

Degree Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
