Wire Cutter

Description:

Aerotek's client is looking for individuals interested in building a CAREER with one of America's leading electrical component suppliers in their brand new fast-paced distribution center. A Wire Cutter is responsible for coiling, spooling, cutting and labeling wire to specified customer orders. Attention to details, organization, and accuracy is required. *Must be comfortable with heights, operating equipment, and pulling heavy weighted cable*

Shift:

Monday through Friday with occasional mandatory Saturdays.

01:00PM to Finish

(typically a 10-hour day)

Responsibilities:

• Cut wire to the length specified on ticket order
• Coil/spool wire
• Label wire to order
• Deliver wire to correct routing staging area
• Maintain organization and neatness in wire room
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Able to lift up to 70lbs
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse environment or distribution center
• Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
