Accountant

Robert Half is looking for an Accountant for a company based in Carpinteria. The Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will report to the Accounting Manager, and you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This company offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. This will be a long-term contract / temporary position.

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable
• Experience with Bank & credit card reconciliation
• Experience preparing payroll tax returns, 571-L Form, W-2's, W-3's
• Commitment to a long term position as an Accountant/ Full Charge Bookkeeper
• Ability to set up manual financial statements
• Skilled at Microsoft Excel and Quick Books
• Experience with preparing 1099's and 1096's
• Part of Santa Barbara Community for over 5 years
