THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services (DHS), Norristown State Hospital, is looking for dedicated individuals to be food service workers in our facility. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform a variety of food service, food preparation, and sanitation tasks in the dietary operation on a rotational basis. Your duties will include minor food preparation and service; assembly tasks in the supplemental nourishment and snack area for distribution to all patient units; and preparing simple menu items. You will also be responsible for keeping food preparation and serving areas clean and sanitary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with 30-minute lunch. Your schedule will include rotating off duty days, working every other weekend and holidays as assigned.
  • Overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need.
