The Military and Overseas Early Voting Clerk provides support to the MILOS (Military and Overseas) team approximately eight weeks prior to Election Day. In this role, you will perform voter research on specialized computer systems, distribute electronic balloting for Military & Overseas Voters, and assist voters with questions and troubleshooting. Including performing data entry and assisting other divisions of the Elections Department.

We Require
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience using professional skills to support internal and external stakeholders
Successful candidates must be registered or eligible to register to vote in Arizona by the time of hire. We require successful completion of a thorough background screening. You must be able to work irregular hours and shifts based on departmental needs, and you must have a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
We Also Value
- Three years of experience performing computer-based tasks and clerical duties
- Two years of experience with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in the Public Sector or related field
- Experience supporting election activities
Job Contributions
- Performs office support duties for the FPCA (Federal Post Card Applications) entry and other support duties for the MILOS process and division
- Timely data entry/research of received FPCA forms (Federal Post Card Applications) so to ensure adherence with federal and state statutory requirements (24-hour turnaround)
- Scans of FPCA forms that serve as alternate Voter Registration forms
- Flags Military and Overseas Citizens ballots for production
- Supports the distribution of MILOS ballots (by mail, fax, or electronically sent)
- Assists with responding to incoming inquiries from MILOS voters regarding process and submission requirements
- Assists with preparing returned MILOS ballots for disposition and duplication
- Assists with signature verification of returned voter Early Voting packets
- Assists with the Flagging of Early Voting Ballot requests
- Assists other divisions of the Elections Department with their daily functions and activities
Working Conditions
- Full-time/Temporary/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Bending, Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling up to 25 pounds
- Work primarily occurs in a business office setting
- Must demonstrate the ability to multitask in a high-volume and time-critical work environment
