This position is accountable for the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to the organization's privacy program in collaboration with legal counsel and management, key departments, and committees to ensure organization has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, authorization forms, and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements.

You will report to the Director, Privacy Compliance.

Position Compensation Range:

$84,000.00 - $139,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
* Leads the development, implementation and maintenance of consumer privacy notices, privacy policies, standards and procedures to ensure enterprise compliance with federal/state privacy requirements.
* Leads the development and facilitation privacy training and awareness campaigns aimed at the organization as well as specialized role-based training.
* Researches and interprets regulatory requirements, findings and legislative alerts for trends and potential business impact.
* Assists business units in assessing business policies and procedures for gaps that may expose the company to significant privacy compliance risks. Supports business units to determine if business practices, or absence of practices, present significant regulatory, ethical, or legal compliance risks. Assists in conducting privacy impact assessments on applications, systems, processes and vendors. Assists in identifying compliance deficiencies and areas of risk and works with business units to develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
* Acts as the face of the company to consumers, state insurance departments and other regulators to respond to privacy inquiries.
* Works with business units to produce data reports and documentation to respond to consumer and regulatory inquiries. Compiles all relevant information and issues the company`s response.
* Reviews and analyzes criticisms issued by consumers and regulators and works with affected business units to verify the validity of and respond to criticisms.
* Reviews and analyzes reports issued by regulators. May negotiates with regulators to reach an agreement on the identification and handling of reported criticisms and issues.
* Works with business units to develop action plans on any issues arising from regulator inquiries. Monitors business unit`s progress against the action plan. Communicates plan and progress to key stakeholders.
* Partners to evaluate privacy incidents, determine necessary actions and coordinate consumer and regulator notifications as needed.
* Manages third-party vendor and I/S relationships, including adherence to contract terms and service standards. Involves Sourcing department in vendor issues as appropriate.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions support or service.
* Solid knowledge in privacy compliance and operationalizing a privacy program.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills to support consultation and program design.
* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
* Extensive knowledge in risk assessment and risk mitigation protocols.

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.



Licenses
* IAPP Certification.

Travel Requirements
* Up to 10%.

Physical Requirements
* Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
