Environmental Technician

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is continuing to grow and we have an exciting opportunity for an entry level environmental technician to join our Team in our Detroit, MI office. If you enjoy working outside, this opportunity might be the perfect fit for you. You will serve as a technician responsible for completing field sampling programs for projects located in Ohio and Michigan. You will work under the direction of project managers and be responsible for completing groundwater, surface water, and air sampling activities, as well as operate and maintain field equipment. You will also assist on survey, soil sampling, and construction projects, and complete documentation of field activities.

Enjoy working outside;
• Mechanical skills and attention to detail;
• Valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and ability to drive a pickup truck;
• Ability to work independently in the field while following operating procedures;
• Technical training or experience collecting samples a plus; and
• 40-hr HAZWOPER training a plus.
