THE POSITION

The State Corrections Institute of Frackville, under the Department of Corrections, is currently on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Corrections Stock Clerk to become a valuable member of our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies for your assigned institution.

You will be responsible for inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will be training and monitoring inmate workers in the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies. You will be preparing routine reports and operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,664.00 (before taxes).
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
