DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Residential Services Aide, you will be responsible and accountable for providing required supports and services for individual living within residential units, program areas, workshops with development, delivery and monitoring of treatment, training, and related services provided in residential units. Day to day work is completed with guidance and supervision from the Residential Services Aide Supervisor and/or other program staff on the Interdisciplinary Team.

As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, you will deliver treatment and training services in the areas of self-care, socialization, and health maintenance as specified in each individual's Individual Support Plan with overall coordination and instruction coming from the Residential Services Worker and Residential Services Supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40-hour work week.
  • Work hours during training are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Our positions operate on a rotating schedule after training: 7 days on, 2 days off; 8 days on, 4 days off.
  • Positions will be filled based on operational need on the following shifts:
    • 2nd shift 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM
    • 3rd shift 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Travel: As needed.
  • Overtime: Is required.
  • Shift work: No.
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    • Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
    • Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    Legal Requirements:
    • A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
    • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
      • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
