GENERAL FUNCTION:

The De Novo Support Manager is a highly visible strategic role that provides in-market support for geographies with a high concentration of newly opened Financial Centers. This role partners with Retail leaders engaging in and coaching to the pre and post opening sales process. This includes, but is not limited to, branch visits alongside the Regional Manager, joint business development activities, facilitating workshops, and executing operational set up. While the primary focus of the role is to engage in-person, virtual engagement will also be necessary due to the span and size of the geography supported.

Additionally, this role acts as a liaison with internal and external business partners to align key priorities for the organization. This includes developing a feedback loop for continuous process improvement and executing a contingency plan for non-performance post-opening.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicates with Retail leaders to monitor processes and provide feedback to management on trends or market situations that may indicate potential process change.
  • Models key outside sales behaviors including business calling, networking, coordinating and facilitating at events, developing centers of influence, and engaging in Membership Advantage opportunities.
  • Models key internal sales behaviors including consultative sales, lobby leadership, setting appointments, branch tours, and coaching to these activities.
  • Works with appropriate partners to determine additional learning needs that can be leveraged to support the knowledge and skills needed as part of the on-boarding and ongoing initiatives to the De Novo space and future growth.
  • Responsible for creating a feedback loop to ensure we are identifying where additional support may be needed and communicating any key changes back to the De Novo teams.
  • Responsible for leading and communicating key changes and initiatives in the De Novo space.
  • Ability to quickly gain product knowledge and transfer knowledge on to others in-an-effort-to broaden team scope of sales abilities.
  • Drives and assists in the preparation activities with physical set up of the branch.
  • Ability to lead by example and perform activities that mirrors the experience we are wanting to create for our customers.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • College degree or 5 or more years of experience in Retail Banking.
  • Previous advanced management, development and coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated success at driving special projects that involve various business functions with a high level of organizational impact.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Exhibited organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Capable of working with multiple client groups at all levels.
  • Strong relationship and influencing skills.
  • Community outreach efforts.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to successfully execute and coach to sales behaviors.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft desktop applications.
  • This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site(mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration. Required for employment in this position.
  • Ability to unpack skids and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Local and overnight business travel within Fifth Third footprint estimated up to 75% travel.
