DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. From helping our residents prepare for their day to assisting them to participate in exciting activities, you will play a huge role in their day. Through this day to day contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care.

This position is a starting step to a nurse aide position. Upon completion of an 8-hour training course and successfully passing the competency exam, the 16-hour classroom course, and an 80-hour orientation program you would promote into a nurse aide position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
  • Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, working every other weekend until classes start. You hours during class are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday for roughly a month and a half. Upon graduation of schoolwork, you return to 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, working every other weekend
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • This position is in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania. You must be willing and able to work in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
  • This position is full time permanent and is 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM) with rotating days and weekends.
  • Willingness to complete 8-hour online training course prior to hire and provide the certificate of successful passing of the exam.
  • Experience in the care of geriatric or physically ill individuals.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
