Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Inc. (GD-OTS) has an Engineering Internship opportunity this summer at our Camden, AR Operations. Come join our incredible team for the summer and know that you will be making a difference in the mission of our warfighter.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Under mentorship, apply basic principles, concepts and practices of Engineering.
  • Assigned tasks where detailed methods and desired results have been delineated.
  • Projects may include systems engineering, design (CAD), analysis and test, requirements development, and allocation.
  • The projects may be part of development or production programs and require a broad knowledge of materials applications, hardware evaluation and verification through testing, and formal problem root cause analysis and corrective action planning and execution.
  • Responsible for determining the technical approach by developing and trading off design concepts that satisfy requirements and constraints, detail design and hardware development, verification of the design using modeling simulation, analysis and test, documentation through formal reports, drawings and other technical data package items and communication with the project team, labs and suppliers, customers and functional management.
  • Continuous improvement projects utilizing lean concepts and tools are possible.


Basic Qualifications

Required Education:

30 hours of college credit, towards an accredited college or university engineering degree.

Zero to two years of relevant experience
