As a Junior Buyer for the Hackettstown facility, you will be responsible for the procurement of Maintenance Repairs and Operations (MRO). The position requires "end to end" ownership of the procurement process including purchase order creation, delivery schedule creation, vendor follow-up, expediting, goods receipt confirmation, and vendor invoice dispositioning.

Your responsibilities

  • • Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures
  • • Open order communication to vendors and follow up with the buyers
  • • Manage all Fastenal POs - bi-weekly review of blanket POs, ensure timely receipt by EOM to accurately reflect Month to month expenses
  • • Manage rejected invoice disposition meeting
  • • Resolve credit hold / invoice issues
  • • GRNI investigation/clearing
  • • Finflow management - responsible for adding new vendors, submitting vendor changes including payment terms or banking account changes
  • • Confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors, and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
  • • Updates vendor lead times for each raw material procured
  • • Good receipt tracking to verify appropriate delivery and ensure proper invoice processing
  • • Work will be performed on-site in our Hackettstown, NJ production facility


Your background

  • • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • • Ability to work with cross functional teams to build/improve effective processes
  • • Ability to deliver on commitments and follow through
  • • Strong problem-solving skills
  • • Ability to multitask with a strong sense of priority
  • • Ability to work independently and as a strong team player
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • • Able to effectively interface with all levels of the organization as well as internal and external customers
  • • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office applications
  • • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
