Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and document engineering, integration, and readiness processes and procedures for the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (C3T) Tactical Network (TN) systems
  • Prepare required product documentation and maintain configuration item baselines
  • Participate and assist in the coordination of Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other technical forums
  • Coordinate with program, project and product management offices to assess the efficiency of the engineering and integration processes
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and make minor adaptations and modifications
  • Assist in the management, maintenance and automating of Configuration Management tools
  • Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments
  • Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions
  • Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system
  • Lead integrated project team(s) and provide independent and professional support on portions of complex projects


Requirements

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or a related technical field of study
  • A minimum of ten (10) years' of related networks systems engineering or engineering experience
  • Experience maintaining configuration baselines and knowledge of managing configuration management tools
  • Experience performing design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and lead Integrated Project Team(s) (IPTs)
  • Ability to provide independent and professional support on portions of complex projects
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ten (10) plus years' of engineering experience.
  • Experience with tactical military communications systems
