Essential Duties and Responsibilities of CNC Machine Operator

• Able to operate all machines; CNC's, Shot Blaster's, Vibratory, Drill Press, Belt Sander's and Hot Dip Wash Tanks per procedures and part specific work instructions
• Able to inspect castings using various hand inspection tools, leak testers, and air gage equipment per part specific work instructions.
• Enter good and bad piece counts into Guardian
• Complete P-Charts as needed
• Maintain records of inspections
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Carry out duties as the Machining Finishing Dept. Supervisor and Lead Person specifies
• Must support and follow the QMS requirements
• Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate with employees on a professional level at all times

Knowledge

Previous factory experience is required. Basic knowledge of machining practices. Ability to use gauges as needed. Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze and interpret general business paperwork in English). Ability to complete shop paperwork. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, clients, customers, and the general public in English. Ability to read and understand the company quality policy in English. Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
