Job Description

onsemi located in East Fishkill, NY is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern

onsemi East Fishkill has an opportunity for a motivated industrial engineer INTERN to join our team in strategic planning. As a member of the engineering team, you will focus on long term factory capacity planning, capital planning, ramp prioritization, and cycle time analysis. You will analyze ways to balance equipment utilization, meet production demand and capital spending targets. This position requires an individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. This position will be located at onsemi in East Fishkill, NY.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage strategic capacity ramp plan for EFK.
  • Evaluate shifts in product demand mix.
  • Optimize factory wide capacity with alignment of fab, post fab, and probe.
  • Drive prioritization of critical capacity ramp actions.
  • Communicate ramp plan and actions required across teams.
  • Forecast tooling and capital requirements.
  • Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost.
  • Participate and lead problem solving sessions using structured approach and lean methodologies
  • Communicate effectively across teams in manufacturing, production control, supply chain, quality, engineering and maintenance
  • Ensure the overall Industrial Engineering focus is aligned with operations requirements and delivering value to the organization

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Must be enrolled in a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Able to travel as required (this is expected to be ~10% of the time or less)
  • Fluency in English Language - written & verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $27.00-$29.00/hr. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
