The Hotel Hartness is actively searching for an efficient, detailed, and self-motivated Houseperson to join our Housekeeping team.

Full time and Part time positions available with flexible scheduling.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all property floors, including but not limited to all restaurant dining areas, bar areas, event space, hallways and stairs, lobby areas, restrooms, kitchen areas, breakroom and employee areas, and all prep areas.
  • General upkeep of all public areas to include but not limited to; cleaning chandeliers, dusting, arranging furniture, cleaning blinds and window treatments, polishing furniture and deep cleaning food and beverage areas, cleaning shelving and décor.
  • Responsible for the proper operation of all cleaning tools and equipment (carpet shampooer, floor buffer, steamer, deep cleaning chemicals, etc.)
  • Reports to supervisor/manager for daily tasks and deep cleaning assignments.
  • Adhere to all Safety and Security policies and procedures outlined by the housekeeping department and the company.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

  • Ability to remain standing for 8 hours.
  • Ability to frequently move and lift to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to walk the property and grounds frequently.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs frequently.
  • Ability to bend frequently and repetitively during a shift.
  • Ability to use manual dexterity often.
  • Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.
  • Ability to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.

About Hotel Hartness & Patterson Restaurant:

Hartness Living, the Greenville area's most exciting and architecturally stunning traditional neighborhood development, will be home to a new hospitality collection managed by Hay Creek Hotels.

The Hartness community offers a full-service elevated café, Village Kitchen, which opened Spring of 2021. Just a short walk from the main hotel will be the hotel's restaurant, Patterson, opening early 2023. With a wrap-around porch and floor to ceiling windows, diners will enjoy waterside dining next to the tranquil and serene pond setting. The heart of the restaurant will be an exposition kitchen that will prepare a variety of locally and regionally inspired menu items. Village Kitchen, Patterson, and catered events are all led by locally acclaimed Executive Chef, Tanner Marino.
