Cashier/Server
Reports to: Manager
Status: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Summary
A successful cashier/server should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service. Cashier/Server responsibilities include a wide range of tasks that keep the store and kitchen running smoothly, from taking orders to adhering to food safety regulations.
Essential Functions
- Waits on customers in a pleasant and helpful manner at all times
- May take customers food and beverage orders in-person and over phone using ePOS Software
- Answers all telephone calls in a friendly manner using the Company's standard greeting and closure
- Operates cash register and credit card machine
- Checks in retail orders
- Follows all health and safety regulations
- Prices and stocks of all merchandise as directed
- Maintains clean, organized counters, displays, shelves, windows, and coolers
- Sweep/mop floors daily or as needed
- Cleans and organizes stock room daily
- Empties all trash receptacles and keeps the store and surrounding area free of trash and hazards
- Adheres to Company dress code while on duty
- Assists staff as necessary and is able
- Notifies supervisor immediately any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
- Be a willing member of Vista Recreation, performing all duties and functions as assigned to the best of their ability
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Friendly and courteous
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math aptitude, ability to count back change manually
- Able to operate cash registers & calculators
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Knowledgeable about park features, rules & regulations
- Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings
- Able to work unsupervised
- Reliable transportation
- Possess current food handler's certification
- Must meet background screening requirement
- Possess current food handler's certification
Preferred
- Experience with POS or equivalent retail system
