RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough incoming inspections (IWA) and outgoing inspections (OWA).
• Handle OHM manifolds, including testing limits.
• Safely flip molds and mold components, ensuring proper placement of eyebolts.
• Disassemble standard cores and cavities, performing standard box assembly with 2 ejection plates.
• Proficiently lay out job carts for organized workflow.
• Operate Bridgeport machines safely, including indicating a vise, machine square, and utilizing precision tools such as edge finders.
• Master basics of lathe operations, indicating parts, using correct feeds/speeds, and maintaining tolerances within ±0.005".
• Acquire fundamental knowledge of surface grinders.
• Utilize hand grinding tools for spotting simple components.
• Demonstrate expertise in grinding flat parting lines and locking surfaces.
• Read and comprehend Engineering/Construction breakdowns and work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Apprentice level requires training in CNC, mechanic or other relevant trades skills; and must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
• Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
• Strong attention to detail is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
