How You’ll Make an Impact

CNC Machinists will have the exemplary manufacturing skills, a working knowledge and experience on a variety of CNC machines and controls, and a dedication to being part of a world class manufacturing team.

What you’ll be doing as a CNC Machinist Level 1-4:

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location.
  • Preferred shift time is Monday – Thursday, 5am – 3:30pm.
  • Without technical supervision, performs the most complex machining of parts and tools, typically on one or more machines, and can be relied upon to handle the one-of-a-kind, most difficult assignments.
  • Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and informs lead person of discrepancies.
  • Thoroughly inspects first part run.
  • Meets job standard times with minimal supervision.
  • Recognizes production problems and informs supervisor.
  • Understanding of basic machine language (G and M codes).
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturing / Engineering drawings.
  • Maintains a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.
  • Maintains high efficiencies and run rates for given machine.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Available to work a full-time position with pre-determined shift times.
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience, training, licenses/certification or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.
  • Understands and comprehends all forms of technical documents including blueprints and drawings, written specifications, charts, tables, etc. At this level, will serve as a technical resource for less skilled or experienced machinists.
  • Works independently, follows instructions, can concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
  • Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)
  • Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Communicates well verbally and in writing
  • Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity

Work Environment:

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The CNC Machinist I-IV Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $23 – 37/hr. commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
