Luxury Sales Associate at Zen Bathworks

Zen Bathworks in Haines, Alaska is looking for one Luxury Sales Associate to join our 10 person strong and growing team. An original equipment manufacturer of luxury wooden soaking bathtubs and wooden coopered hot tubs, in business for 27 years, we are located at 832 Spruce Grove Rd Haines, AK 99827. We are both a business-to-business and business-to-consumer online retailer of these products we manufacture as well as an authorized online dealer of designer faucetry and showers. We serve customers throughout the United States and Canada primarily, with a growing international presence.

We are a tight-knit team devoted to our continuous improvement company. We have high growth aspirations and strive to continue to build our brand for continued long-term establishment. 

Our ideal candidate for this role is a well-rounded articulate individual with excellent customer communication skills who is quick to learn, retain, and apply technical know-how on both products and company's internal operational computer systems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, ambitious, engaged, attentive, and reliable, who remains committed to customer service, teamwork and continual improvement.

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires permanent residence in the 99827 Haines Borough, Alaska area. If you are not already aware, note that this is a small, remote town in southeast Alaska. It is a one-of-a-kind place to live. Note that relocation assistance is not offered with this position. What are the expectations of the position?

• Be the team specialist in answering product sales and service questions from customers by email and phone, in a manner that leads to captured sales
• Work effectively full-time, year-round as one of a five-person office team handling the full range of aspects that the Sales, Production Planning, Procurement, Service, and Business Administration functions of the company entail
• Aid in maintaining a positive and efficient working environment

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or 5+ years experience in a relevant customer service role
• Advanced skills with computer systems operation
• Exceptional keyboarding skills
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Great time management skills
• A life-long learner attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Sales, Customer/Technical Service, or Manufacturing Support role.
• A basic mechanical aptitude (e.g. familiarity with the basic fundamentals of plumbing, electrical, and/or structural construction).

Task Summary:

• Under the guidance and training of the General Manager and Assistant Manager, provide Customer Service 
• Assist customers with selecting tub options and placing orders
• Answer simple customer service questions regarding installation, maintenance, repair
• Connect customers with Engineering team for complex custom orders or service questions
• Assist with order bookings, production scheduling, shipment bookings and other company operations processing.
• Assist with website maintenance such as: adding and maintaining product pages, updating hours and lead times, etc.
• Fill secondary roles maintaining other office operations such as: bookkeeping, purchasing, inventory, licensing/compliance, etc.
• Assist with troubleshooting issues with various computer services and website functions, as necessary.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $26.00 - $30.00/hour.
