JOB SUMMARY

The Cook performs meal preparation work including ordering, planning, and preparing food. Maintains inventory and records of food consumption, meal preference, and recommendations for improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare the food as planned.

• Manage kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down the dining areas.

• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in kitchen, dining, and work areas.

• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.

• Stock and organize kitchen, plan menus, and order food and supplies.

• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.

• Participate in scheduled program meetings.

• Other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.

• Current Food Handlers’ Card required.

• Cultural Competency understanding required.

• Bilingual preferred.
