Logistics Coordinator - Entry Level

Bond Consultants is a dynamic firm which provides professional employment services to many people with different backgrounds and skills. One of our clients - a Global Logistics Company- is currently looking for an Ocean Import Agent. This position pays $20. This position is full-time, direct hire, and non-exempt.

Summary:

The Ocean Import Agent is responsible for arranging clients’ shipments, working closely with customs brokers, warehouse staff, trucking vendors and clients assisting with document preparation, record keeping, and traffic coordination for the customs clearance of goods.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking shipments and communicating with clients and vendors about the shipment’s progress

• Reviewing all entries, documents and files records for accuracy before submitting to supervisor for final review.

• Booking the trucking arrangement for meeting customer’s requested ETA

• Coordinating any necessary ground transportation

• Compute international fees and manage payments for each shipment.

• Handle claims with insurance companies if any problems happen.

• Ensure that all documents comply with company policies and federal/state laws/regulations.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred

• Accurate Data Entry skills

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work at times under pressure.

• Possessing a valid driver’s license

• Willingness to occasionally travel for business
