Accounts Payable Specialist (26581)

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for applying principles of accounting to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports within a manufacturing environment.

2-3 Month Contract, possibility to go permanent
$22-24/hr

Duties And Responsibilities:
·    Prepare and enter accounts payable batches into the system for payment. 
·    Enter and maintain vendors in coordination with corporate team.
·    Reconcile and manage the petty cash fund. 
·    Track and update raw material usage.
·    Prepare reporting out of the AS400 system for the freight general ledger. 
·    Assist with month end procedures and data collection, financial projections, and reconciliation of freight payments and setups. 
·    Provide backup coverage for phones, front desk and other events.
·    Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:
·    High School/GED required; experience in accounting in a manufacturing plant preferred.
·    Must possess highly effective communication skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated and organized.
·    Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
·    High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
