The Maintenance Technician Assistant is required to assist in performing all functions of plant maintenance. They are partly responsible for the production equipment and preventive and predictive maintenance. Maintenance personnel maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, and the facilities of the production plant.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in performing shut down, start-ups and cleaning in place of equipment.
• Assists in performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Assists in diagnosing issues to prevent loss in efficiency and reliability to achieve scheduled production.
• Assists in monitoring and adjusting production flows, rates, temperatures, viscosity, and line pressure.
• Assists in ensuring optimum machinery functionality for product quality.
• Assists in maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Assists in working closely with supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Assists in completing pass down at the end of each shift.
• Assists in troubleshooting minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
• Assists in performing preventive building maintenance duties and repairs including routine plumbing repairs, and routine electrical repairs.
• Assists in other Maintenance Technicians (breakdowns, line maintenance, equipment upgrades).
• Ability and willingness to assist all departments in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the entire facility.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED and one (1) year building maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings.
• Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.

Location: Tulare, Ca

Schedule: Shift 1st 8:00AM-4:30PM - Variable

Pay: 18.00/hr
