We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to become an integral part of ourGadsden County, FL USA team! You will be working for a major home health system!

Physical Therapy Assistant Schedule 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM M-F

Patient Service Area (Towns/Counties)? Leon County/Gadsden County

Physical Therapy Assistant Pay:$30-$38/hr based on experience

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Duties

 13 weeks No call or weekends 30 units of productivity per week  32 guaranteed hours 

1. Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
2. Administers non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water and electrical modalities to patients.
3. Accurately documents daily, weekly or monthly records of clients' status. Submits clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
4. Attends educational meetings and coordinates and contributes to department in-services.
5. Notifies physical therapist, Clinical Manager or Branch/Clinical Director of any equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes and any other departmental changes.
6. Schedules clients and performs varied office tasks.
7. Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in performing patient care activities.
8. Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients.
9. Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary.

Physical Therapy Assistant Qualifications:

Current state license to practice Physical Therapy - Required
Proof of current CPR certification - Required
Current driver's license - Required
Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required
2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant - Required

Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy - Required
