AppleTree Staffing is seeking a skilled Brake Press Team Lead to join our client's team in southern Johnson County.

The Brake Press Team Leader oversees safe operations, product quality, timely completion, and organization in their area. They maximize uptime, ensure adherence to schedules, and enforce company policies. Additionally, they promote safety, coach team members, and assist with equipment troubleshooting, operation, and training.

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe, timely, and quality production.
  • Manage staffing for assigned area(s).
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and assist operators.
  • Set up and operate the equipment as needed.
  • Handle material and steel for production.
  • Assist group leader in managing personnel.
  • Train new team members to meet goals.
  • Understand machine operations technology.
  • Fill in for absent operators to maintain production.
  • Maintain operational and quality records.
  • Conduct component inventory checks.
  • Interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Adjust machine functions and settings.
  • Perform quality inspections.
  • Promote safety and comply with regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills.
  • Experience with height gages and calipers.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts is desired.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime.
  • Willingness to perform other assigned duties.
