Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client is hiring for an onsite Contract Manager possessing the following:
Bachelor's degree in business or construction management from an accredited institution.
Certification as Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is a plus.
10+ years of experience in preparing, administering and managing construction contracts as Contract Manager with TIC greater than $100MM for a construction company in a similar role
Experience in Contract Administration with Industrial, Chemical, Utilities, or Oil & Gas projects
Multi-discipline technical background and understanding of construction process documentation handling, including but not limited to RFIs, Submittals, Change Order Issuance
Ability to regularly communicate contractual issues to client and team to achieve project goals
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Proficient analytical and critical thinking abilities
Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgement skills
Knowledge of Google office management tools
Ideal candidate is an innovative yet decisive individual who can work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-based environment and has the ability to set goals and expectations
What you will do / Responsibilities:
Our client is hiring for an onsite Contract Manager, reporting directly to the Project Director of this $350M modernization effort. It is expected you will be involved in the following:
The administration and management of CSA, Mechanical, Piping and E&I lump sum construction contracts including material management.
Preparation of bid documents, and negotiating specifications for materials, equipment, or other construction services under contract
Prepares requests for proposals for distribution to vendors
Provides responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations
Supports complex contract negotiations and manages all changes in, and addendums to, existing contracts
Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures. Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines
Analyzes a contract's risk to the business
Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met
Monitors the performance of each signed contract
Provides advice and guidance to the project teams relating to contract generation
Provides support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities
Prepares reports on the status of contracts for management
Identifies opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these change
