School Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full Time ($48-50 hr)

Blazerworks, in partnership with the San Bernardino school district, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a full-time basis. As an OT, you will have the opportunity to work with students to enhance their ability to participate in daily activities and reach their full potential.
Position Overview:
As a School Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions to support students' educational goals. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to develop individualized plans and strategies to address students' sensory, motor, and functional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' strengths and challenges related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified goals and objectives.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding students' therapy plans and progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and educational principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
