Paraprofessional Contract Available

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced paraprofessionals for a full-time contract position in Winterville, NC. The ideal candidate will meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations and possess a strong background in working with special education students and families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to classroom teachers and special education staff in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Assist in the implementation of behavior management strategies and techniques to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with academic tasks, including but not limited to reading, writing, math, and other subject areas, as directed by classroom teachers.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff members to promote collaboration and communication.
• Assist with the supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, lunchtime, and recess.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required by the school district and Blazer Jobs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all relevant privacy laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff or administrators.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational environment.
