Soliant has multipleopenings for a contracted School-Based Sign LanguageInterpreterinthe Carpinteria, CAarea. This position is for the 2023-2024 School Year, with the opportunity to continue into the extended school year.Soliant offers weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and exceptional benefits!

Job Details:

• Full-Time
• Onsite
• Middle School Caseload
• 2023-24 School Year and Extended School Year

What You'll Do:

• Provide interpretation services during classes and meetings with teachers
• Assist with the preparation of assignments for students with auditory impairments
• Facilitate munication and interactions between students and faculty/staff
• Assist with interpreting assessments, tests, and examinations to ensure deaf or hard of hearing students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in an accessible format.
• Uphold ethical standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and neutrality while interpreting for students

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor'sDegree in ASL or Education Interpreting
• State EIPAcertification with a score of 3.5 or greater required (RID and/or NIC Certification are accepted in lieu of EIPA certification)
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred
• Previous experience in a middle school setting preferred
• Excellent munication skills
• Supportive, positive, and patient attitude
