Our Client, a government contractor with 75+ years of mission support expertise, operating in more than 50 countries, employing over 16,000 workers with approximately 50% veterans, is seeking a Materials Expeditor to join the team.

Location: Onsite in Madison,MS

Pay: $25.58/hour

Shift: Full time - 1st shift

What you will be doing:

• Performing a variety of activities in support of successfully arranging for delivery, assembly, and distribution of parts in order to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules. Such items involve a strong interface with Planners/Schedulers, Buyers, Quality, Program Management, and Manufacturing personnel.
• Communicating directly with suppliers, while maintaining a respectful linkage to Purchasing Buyers and Management.
• Gathering, collecting, recording, tracking, and verifying data and information from multiple sources.
• Using software for the functional area to compile, review and analyze data to generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations.
• Designing processes to enhance workflow and float from section to section to cover and cross train.
• Providing data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
• Tracking ITAR parts.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a similar role – spanning knowledge of purchase orders and buying.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and SAP system.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a public trust position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
