About this job

We are opening a new board game cafe in Burlingame! A board cafe is somewhere people can go to play board games, drink coffee and hang out with their friends.

We are looking for a barista to join our team to help us make drinks for our customers. We are working with locally roasted coffee beans from Soul Grind, and have a La Marzocco 3 group espresso machine.

We are planning on opening by April 30th, 2024!

Requirements:

  • exceptional listening and communication skills
  • commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • has experience in food and beverage preparation and customer service
  • has the willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation
  • willing to help out at areas of operation if necessary
    • eg: relieving the register, clean tables
  • ok to work as part of a high-energy and efficient team in a fast-paced work environment
  • ability to walk, bend and stand for extended periods
  • availability to work peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • able and willing to comply with all health codes at all times
  • has current servsafe certificate
