GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees and executes banquet functions providing service that exceeds the guest’s expectations. Supervises staff and performs duties according to Space Needle service standards and policies. Has a clear understanding of Chihuly Garden and Glass service standards, meeting these expectations every day. Exhibits complete knowledge of food and beverage services for each event.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures that all room sets and services are carried out in accordance with the BEO for that function
  • Meets and stays in contact with clients insuring that their needs are met
  • Exhibits full knowledge of menu items and oversees all buffet set ups
  • Knows and is responsible for Engaging, Merchandising, Excellence & Proficiency, and Teamwork standards.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout dining experience
  • Assist in any and all job duties to ensure that service levels are achieved
  • Complete closing duties, as defined, supervising the work of servers/bartenders/housemen to insure that all duties are completed properly
  • Properly complete guest check/Red Book/cash drops and tip sheets at the end of every shift
  • Supervise staff to ensure that top notch service is achieved throughout all functions.
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by banquet management

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reliable in attendance and punctuality, uses proper time clock and sign in/out procedures.
  • Maintain the highest in uniform and grooming standards by adhering to both company and departmental uniform standards.
  • Knowledge of Chihuly Garden and Glass policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Fire/Safety/Life procedures.
  • Promote a positive and professional attitude to all internal and external guests.
  • Run food to all tables in all sections to assist other servers during “free” time.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a minimum of five-years food serving experience in a high volume, full service banquet environment with supervisory experience. Must have very good knowledge of food and beverage including wine and food pairing suggestive techniques. Excellent grooming and communication skills necessary. Requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must have a valid Washington State Class 12 or Class 13 Alcohol Service Permit, and a valid Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
  • Always remains professional and works well with other.
  • Walking, standing, reaching, and lifting (30 to 50 lbs) entire shift. Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs over one shoulder using large oval tray. Typical shift is approximately 6-8 hours.

Hourly Rate: $19.97 to 19.97 / hour + tips
