Material Handler

Position Summary:

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment. May also utilize forklift truck, cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. May perform other general warehouse functions in support of operational requirements.

Train on 1st for 2 months then move to 2nd

1st - 7am-3pm Mon-Fri

2nd - 3pm - 2am Mon-thursday

$19 an hour

Key Accountabilities:

1. Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
2. Oversees safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
3. Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
4. Review shipping notices, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures
5. Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
6. Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with finished goods that need to be shipped
7. Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required
8. Identify, hold and segregate defective material
9. Perform general clean up
10. Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements
11. Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead
12. Train others when required
13. Assist in any activities related to lean and/or quality
14. Meet/Exceed targets as defined by the leadership team
15. Backup for shipping & receiving as needed
16. Other duties as assigned
