Job description

We are looking for experienced servers to work with us. Dock 17 is an upscale casual restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere. We treat our employees like family. Expectations:

• Provide excellent customer service to our guests by greeting them as soon as they arrive at their tables, obtaining food and drink orders, and communicating those to bar and kitchen staff.
• Become a menu expert - Answer questions, provide suggestions, etc.
• Ensure guests are enjoying their meals by checking on them at the appropriate intervals. Take action to correct any problems that may arise.
• Prepare checks, collect payments and provide change, if needed.
• Help food preparation staff when necessary.

Preferred Skill Sets:

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff
• Ability to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Good with math - you must be able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age 18
• At least one year of serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required
• obtain a ABC license
