Mountain Boutique Hotel + Hostel Hybrid Searching for Awesome Crew Members!


We are looking for dedicated & responsible locals who care about where they work, just as much as where they play! We have an open position for our Guest Experience PM shift, and weekends are required. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys having their weekday mornings free and being able to spend time in our incredible area without all the weekend crowds.


The PAD is a 100-bed boutique hotel with hostel style rooms, a lobby bar, a conference room and event space in beautiful Silverthorne, Colorado which is located in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and only an hour from Denver. The PAD became one of Colorado’s first certified B-Corp in the hospitality industry and Summit County’s first overall certified B-Corp.


The PAD’s vision is to be as socially & environmentally responsible as possible. We want to inspire not only our guests, but our colleagues and community as well, by showcasing how a business can create a positive impact for people & the planet through thoughtful consideration of employee equality & wages, product procurement, waste & recycling, and support for local artisans and businesses.


We are grateful to be situated in the exceptionally beautiful and flourishing mountain community of Summit County, surrounded by a diverse abundance of outdoor recreation, craft fare and arts & culture. The PAD opened in November of 2021, and we have been working hard ever since - and are hoping to find enthusiastic, like-minded individuals to help create an amazing community and work culture for both our staff and guests to enjoy.


In our Guest Experience role, we expect the role to help make our guests feel welcome from before even they arrive. We are a small, boutique property and so traditional hotel roles are not what we are. We want our crew to be able to not only greet and check in a guest, but to be part of all facets of the business. During busy times it is primarily at the front desk and setting up for events in-house, but the scope is to keep the property up to par, assist the bar with bussing tables and cocktailing at times - filling in wherever there might be something lacking. Being a team player is a must.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Fluent in English, conversational or fluency in Spanish a Plus
• Proficient in computer literacy, including knowledge of Google workspaces
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information and transactions
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic administrative duties such as data entry, proofreading, and order entry


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained

• Answer phone calls and provide information about hotel services, facilities, and room availability

• Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes

• Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively

• Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions

• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying

• Coordinate special projects or events as assigned

• Coordinate with Housekeeping teams, and learning all aspects of the business

• Assisting the Events team for In-House Programming and Marketing and Private Events

• Assisting with Property Sustainability Initiatives


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an applicant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the guest experience agent is regularly required to move 10lbs on a daily basis.

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs and remain standing or sitting for an extended period of time


EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous hotel reception experience is desired

• Demonstrated success in a customer-focused environment

• Knowledge of Summit County, CO activities + outdoor recreation opportunities preferred

• High School diploma is required
