Internal Parts Counter Associate

Position Summary:

• Are you a friendly, smart, and service–oriented individual? Then we want you for our parts counter and shipping/receiving. A parts counter associate will work closely with service advisors and technicians to get them the correct parts in order to complete service work. In this position you work with our distributors and other vendors to source and purchase the parts needed for service work.

Essential Functions:

• Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
• Create, modify, and issue purchase orders to appropriate vendor to order parts
• Record warranty parts returned
• Create special ordered parts on dealership computer system and notify technician, service writer, or client upon receipt
• Review special order parts tracking
• Shipping/Receiving
• Process and close open purchase orders
• Receive part shipments, stock the received parts in their appropriate location
• Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received
• Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
• General housekeeping (i.e. warehouse duties, organizational workspace, and inventory control)

Education, Experience and Work Requirements:

• General knowledge of RV, RV products, and their uses highly desired or automotive background
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills required
• Exceptional communication ability with technicians/other employees
• Ability to learn comprehensive product knowledge
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience in warehouse, retail stockroom or similar is preferred
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, including drug screening
• Computer proficiency is required
