Accountability:


This position will directly report to a senior member of the cellar team and is a temporary position for approximately 6-12 weeks to assist with grape harvest at our winery. The position begins as early as May and ends as late as October. This is a full-time seasonal position, working approx. 30-60 hours including overtime and weekends/holidays when needed. (Depending on availability, we are willing to negotiate hours.) Hourly rates start at $12.50/hour.


Specific Duties:

  • Participate in all grape harvesting activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized harvest environment.
  • Monitor and record fermentation parameters, including temperature and sugar levels.
  • Assist in general winery operations, including equipment setup and cleaning.
  • Support cellar activities, such as barrel work, wine transfers, and cleaning protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the harvest season.
Requirements:

Professional Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for wine and a strong desire to learn about the winemaking process.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions closely.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and early mornings, during the harvest season.
  • Previous winery or vineyard experience is a plus but not required.
  • Up-to-date resume with references

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Safely and repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
