Accounting Manager

Position: Accounting Manager

Location: Downtown Baton Rouge, LA

Compensation: $120,000 annually

Strategic Business Consulting Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our clients' team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. This is a key leadership role within the organization and requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion

- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

- Monitor and review financial data for accuracy and identify any discrepancies or variances

- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and providing recommendations for improvement

- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic projections

- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings

- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- CPA or equivalent certification preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

- Experience with financial reporting and analysis

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
