Machinist III

Job Summary:

Focus Manufacturing is seeking a full-time Machinist to join our team in Ogden, Utah.  A machinist at Focus Manufacturing is responsible for programming, setting up, machining, and inspecting each of their assigned projects. 

Responsibilities:

· Program assigned projects using CAM software and Solidworks

· Operate equipment within the machining and fabrication departments

· Manage/follow projects through the machining process

· Work closely with lead to facilitate quality product and on-time delivery

· Produce parts that meet customer specifications and requirements using machining equipment and measuring instruments

· Estimate time production and materials required for machining jobs

· Identify and execute continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects

· Cleans and maintains machining equipment

Qualifications:

· Experience operating machines and tools, including their repair and maintenance

· Understanding of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans and drawings

· Background in machining blueprint interpretation and reading

· Experience working with Solidworks and MasterCam
