Job Description:

The City of Junction City is hiring Summer Camp Leaders & Lead at the Community Center to join the team! This position is a seasonal/temporary, hourly position.

Expected start date is June 24, 2024

Expected end date is August 23, 2024

Summer Camp Leader - This is a temporary, hourly position with wages of $16.32-$18.35

Summer Camp Lead - This is a temporary, hourly position with wages of $18.94-$21.32

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6 hour shifts with flexibility
• First day of Camp is June 24, 2024 and last day of Camp is August 23, 2024

General Position Summary:

Responsible for direct leadership of youth ages K-6 in a day camp setting with a variety of activities included, such as games, sports, arts & crafts, special events, and trips to the park and pool.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to assist or organize camp schedules, activities, supplies, and equipment.
• Responsible for cleanliness of the areas used by camp participants.
• Completing necessary forms related to attendance, check-in/check-out procedures, accidents/incidents, and any additional forms needed.

Job Skills Required:

• Promote a non-competitive, positive, self-image enhancing environment for each participant through the direction of non-competitive, fun, varied and well-organized activities.
• Exhibit enthusiasm for the activity to impart a feeling of excitement to camp participants.
• Provide and adhere to established guidelines set forth for the safety, behavior, and communication of the camp participants.

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must have 1 year of experience working with children.
• First Aid & CPR certified.
