Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking an HSE Specialist to join their team. In this critical role, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our employees and the environment at our Chicago Heights and Alsip locations.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement and oversee company HSE programs, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and training effectiveness.

  • Provide expert guidance to site management on all HSE matters.

  • Analyze data to identify and address HSE risks, developing mitigation strategies.

  • Manage audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to regulations and company standards.

  • Create, review, and update HSE procedures (permits, hazard communication, PPE, etc.).

  • Manage the HSE training program, including development, delivery, and recordkeeping.

  • Lead incident investigations using industry best practices (RCA, 5-Whys).

  • Drive implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve company goals.

  • Contribute to annual HSE budgets and monitor performance against targets.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing HSE compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proven track record of success in HSE program development and implementation.
