DAY TO DAY AS A FIELD SURVEYOR-STEEL ERECTION

As a Field Surveyor at Kinsley Steel, you will be at the forefront of promoting a strong safety culture while emphasizing the core priorities of Safety, Quality, and Production. Your role will involve utilizing surveying equipment to collect and present accurate data for practical field use, ensuring precision in building control lines, and establishing column placement and anchor rod locations. You will play a vital part in delivering information for column and steel installation alignment, creating anchor rod surveys, and producing as-built drawings when necessary. Your keen eye for detail will contribute to maintaining building plumbness and square, coordinating with other trades for accurate steel placement, and assisting with various steel installations. This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your surveying expertise and make a significant impact on our steel construction projects.

ARE YOU THE FIELD SURVEYOR-STEEL ERECTION WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

To excel as a Field Surveyor at Kinsley Steel, candidates must possess exceptional attention to detail and keen observation skills to ensure accuracy in data collection and building control lines. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential to effectively collaborate with team members and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety and quality on-site. Prior experience in Structural Steel Erection, preferably with a minimum of 3 years, is highly valued, along with a thorough understanding of AISC requirements for building orientation and alignment. The role may involve travel and working at heights in an aerial lift or on elevated steel floors, emphasizing the importance of safety and adherence to protocols. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the field of steel construction and have experience in surveying slopes/grades/wall lines/ for misc. metals. Knowledge of using total station or similar surveying equipment is necessary.
