Job Description

We are looking for caring individuals who enjoy the elderly and can be apart of our team. 

We get great satisfaction in caring for the elderly in our community, in their environment. We can learn a lot from the stories they tell as well as provide them the companionship they need. 

 

The primary function of a Companion/Senior Care is to assist the client with companionship, meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping. 

Services Provided by Touching Hearts at Home:

Companionship

Laundry

Light Housekeeping.

The housekeeping all depends on the Clients service plan. Not necessarily all of the items stated below.

  • Kitchen: Wash dishes, clean counters, sweep/vacuum floor, mop/wash floor, take out garbage/recycling, clean refrigerator; wipe down stove/microwave etc.
  • Bathroom: Clean tub, sink, toilet, wash/vacuum floor.
  • Living Room: Dust furniture, dust/vacuum floor, tidy area.
  • Bedrooms: Making beds, change linens, dust furniture, vacuum floors, and tidy areas

Transportation

Provide transportation for errands, doctor appointments and any other arrangements as outlined in the Client’s Service Plan.

 

One of our missions is to match the caregiver/client for the best possible fit so both parties enjoy each other.  We always meet a caregiver at the new clients house until both  individuals feel comfortable with each other. We are a team and there is no I in team. We are here for our Clients as well as our caregivers to answer any questions and help in every possible way.
